About
I'm a founder and writer, early in the work.
I'm Aayush Chopra. I'm building Worql, software for the US-India corridor, and I write to think clearly about the work. This is the longer version.
Before Worql, I operated e-commerce brands on Shopify, and before that I sold on Amazon FBA. Running the whole stack of a small business taught me one thing above all: understand your cash flow. If you don't know where your money is going, you won't make it.
Now I'm focused on the US-India software corridor. It's a specific, under-built space, and Worql is my attempt at one concrete part of it: the contracts behind the work. I came to it the hard way, through software outsourcing engagements that went wrong.
I'm starting at Columbia GS in Fall 2026. Alongside building, I write. Founder and corridor essays, and first-principles pieces on whatever I'm trying to understand. Writing is how I think, so most of this site is the writing.
The thread through most of what I care about is the same. Precision over flash, calculation over noise, stillness underneath motion. It shows up in how I build, how I write, and in what I do away from the desk.
Off the clock
The same thread, in different forms.
Muay Thai & jiu-jitsu
I train Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Controlled intensity, and a fast lesson in staying calm under pressure.
Chess
I play chess, mostly for the habit of thinking a few moves ahead before committing to one.
Indian philosophy
I read Indian philosophy. My mom is deeply involved in studying the Gita, and a lot of my interest started there.
Adventure travel
I travel when I can, the more out-of-the-way the better. Visiting Manali is the trip that's stuck with me most.
Get in touch
If any of this resonates, the writing is the best place to start. If you want to talk, I'd like to hear from you.
